Patient-fast

Many patients contact their general practitioner because of pain in tendons and fascia. The pain is often pronounced; for example, overload of the tendons on the outer side of the hips will present as symptoms similar to severe osteoarthritis. Injury frequency is high and up to 10% of the population will experience heel pain due to plantar fasciopathy. There is a great lack of knowledge regarding how these conditions are best managed in general practice.

The research group Patient-Fast examines how to diagnose and treat common tendon and fascia problems most effectively and how these patients are best taken care of in general practice.
